Kids' Sunday Summary

CHILDREN’S WORSHIP

This school year children (4 years to Grade 2) are learning about how we worship God on Sundays and every day with a three-week lesson unit on each part of our worship service. On the last Sunday of the unit, students will complete an art project expressing that element of worship.

Adoration Unit (on Nov. 5, 12 & 19)

We say to God: “I love you” (part of the Story of Worship)

  • God protects, provides for, and guides us.

  • We find comfort and rest, refreshment. As He leads us, we need not fear.

  • We follow where God leads, we praise Him, will live with Him forever.

Lesson: David Trusts God

Bible Passage: 1 Samuel 17

Lesson Focus: David trusted God to save him from Goliath.

Grades 2-5

Lesson: Respecting Authority

Bible Truth: God commands us to honor our parents and all other lawful authorities he places over us. (Deut. 6; Eph. 6; Col. 3)

Lesson Focus: To discover how we honor our parents; to understand that we must show respect to all who are in authority over us; to learn that we honor God when we honor those in authority.
