ESL Classes

CTK offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced ESL classes on Monday evenings at 7:00pm throughout the school year. The first class of the Spring semester will be January 23rd. Classes are open to anyone in our church and community. ESL is a cooperative ministry between our AM and PM congregations, and we are looking for volunteers to participate. If you have any interest (no experience necessary!) in helping out, or if you or someone you know have questions about attending, contact hannah@ctkcambridge.org for more information. To register for classes click here

Faith and Work Tech Group

For Technology Vocational Groups at CTK - Indigitous #Hack is a 48-hour global event backed by Cru, IV, Wycliffe and others. It will take ~10 tech-related challenges from sponsoring organizations and arrange teams of technologists to address the issues over the course of ~48 hours. The event will be held on November 4-6 at the MIT Media Lab. Also, Dave Murgatroyd, a former elder at Park Street, has recently started a LinkedIn group called Boston Christians in Tech.  This is a great opportunity to network and share wisdom and experience with other Christians working in the industry.

Faith and Work

Christ the King's Faith and Work Community for Entrepreneurs and small business owners offers an opportunity for business owners to participate and contribute in an environment of fellowship, learning and prayer with other entrepeneurs from the CTK churchwide community. We are currently on winter break and will start meeting again in mid to late January. Please contact John Maudlin for more information.

All for the Kingdom

Join the PM service this Sunday, September 25 at noon, for a special service in celebration of the revitalization efforts of three other Brazilian congregations throughout greater Boston. This collaborative project is called "All for the Kingdom". Pastor Pedro Lino's installation ceremony will also take place at this time. Pastor Pedro has been with CTK since this Spring and has been of vital support for the church revitalization project. Lunch will be provided after the service.

Boston Healthcare Fellowship

The Boston Healthcare Fellowship is a ministry that brings together Christians from churches around the city for fellowship, education and mentorship, for those training and practicing in diverse fields such as clinical medicine, public health, nursing, research, dentistry, and physical therapy.  Weekly bible studies and fellowship groups  meet at various times and locations throughout the city, and the Fellowship also hosts a monthly dinner and discussion on the third Friday of each month.  For questions, please contact nathan@ctkcambridge.org.

PCA Overture

On June 23, our denomination (the PCA) passed an important overture to “recognize, confess, condemn, and repent of corporate and historical sins, including those committed during the Civil Rights era, and continuing racial sins of ourselves and our fathers.”  A study committee was also formed to develop specific steps that could be taken to effect racial reconciliation and the advance of the gospel.  You can read the text of the overture here.

All Church Worship

In Celebration... On Friday, May 6 the congregations of CTK/Grace gathered in Newton to celebrate God’s goodness to our church. Bradley Barnes reminded us why we gather as one church, and Nathan Glenister led us in singing songs of celebration together. We heard testimonies from Pastor Leandro and Shadrach Jean. Pastor Logan Keck preached from John 13:34-35, encouraging us to “love one another” as we celebrate both the diversity of congregations and the unity of the gospel that we enjoy at CTK. Our love will be a witness, both in our congregations, and around Boston. Nathan Barczi was also installed as Associate Pastor of CTK, after being voted on in November. Many people gathered at nearby restaurants before and after to catch up and continue conversations. We are very thankful for those that gathered to celebrate and worship, and look forward to being together again in the Fall. To God be the Glory!

CTK Stories

As Easter week approaches, CTK Stories would like to encourage you to check out our most recent story, "Easter’s Hope: My Story of Redemption" by Cambridge member Sarah Stuntz: From a very early age, I have had a tendency to narrate my life. My mom loves to tell about the time I jumped off the diving board, proclaiming, “Help, cried Sarah, as she jumped into the pool!” (My aunt, seated nearby, quipped, “Read to her much?”)  As I grew a little older, I traded my broadcast-journalism for a more internal narration. I imagined myself the protagonist of the story called “Sarah’s Life” and created various scenarios in which each chapter might fit a larger whole.  Looking back, I can see how the details of these stories were… To read more, click here.
