Children's Ministry Conference

Registration is still open for the Children’s Ministry Conference next weekend. You may visit Established Boston for more details, but please contact Dana before registering to get a code to save $15. The Christ the King congregations will be jointly hosting a Children’s Ministry Conference on October 12 & 13 (at our building).  This “Established” conference (based on Ps. 78:5-7a) is sponsored by the PCA and will provide training and support for those involved in Children’s Ministry through a variety of workshops, taught by both visiting and CTK speakers.  Parents, children’s teachers and ministry leaders are encouraged to attend.    

Women's Picnic at Prospect Hill Park

On Saturday, August 25th, the Women's Ministry is hosting a picnic Prospect Hill Park in Somerville.  Stop by anytime between 4-7pm. Women's ministry will supply drinks and paper products - bring a dish to share, a chair or blanket if you have them, and any lawn games you'd like to play. Youth CG

Parents and youth (grades 6-12) please save the date for the first Youth Community Group of the year:  Saturday, September 15 from 5:30-7:30pm at the church in the social hall.  This will be a potluck dinner for both kids and parents to meet our new leader for this year, TI Atkins, CTK member and seminarian at Gordon Conwell.  If your family plans to attend, please RSVP and sign up to bring food.

Women's Ministry Kickoff Lunch

All women are invited to a Women’s Ministry Fall Kick-Off Lunch on Saturday 9/22 at 1 pm in the Fellowship Hall at CTK. Childcare will be provided. This will be a time of fellowship to meet other women in the church and hear about Bible Study groups for the fall, including the Thursday AM Women’s Bible Study as well as the “Sermon on the Mount” Bible Study groups. Women are encouraged to come even if they did not RSVP! Please contact Emily Stuntz with any questions.

Shakespeare on the Common

TONIGHT!  Join the Women’s Ministry for an outing to Shakespeare on the Common. Play starts at 8pm at the Parkman Bandstand, Boston Common. Arrive any time after 7pm. Bring a chair or blanket if you have them, and dinner or a snack to share if desired. Look for Laura Martin and Emily DeBaun Stuntz wearing fun hats for identification. Save the Date: All-Church Picnic

The All-Church Picnic is this Saturday, June 9th, from 10am to 3pm at Houghton’s Pond in Milton, MA. Google Maps et al will only get you in the vicinity, so here are exact directions to Picnic Area 5.  For more information, visit https://www.ctkboston.org/news-events/.  If you would be willing to help in any way, by leading a game or helping with grilling or with set-up/clean-up, please contact Sarah Goodman.  If you need a ride or are able to give a ride to the picnic, please let us know.

Holy Week Services

Tonight is the first of four Holy Week services this week.  You can prepare for each of this week's services by listening to recordings of all of the congregational hymns at ctkcambridge.org/songs:

  • Tonight is Maundy Thursday, March 29, 7:30pm (childcare up to age 3); 
  • Tomorrow is Good Friday, March 30, 7:30pm (childcare up to age 3); 
  • Easter Sunrise, April 1, 6:30am (Hot Breakfast immediately following); 
  • Easter Morning, April 1, 10:00am (no Sunday School or Adult Education Classes; there will be Nursery and Children’s Worship)

Women Together: Bethany Jenkins

Registration has been extended for the talk by Bethany Jenkins.  The women of CTK Boston are invited to her talk on "Hospitality and Hope in a Relationally-Fragmented World" on Saturday, April 7 from 10-11:30am in the church social hall. Bethany works for the Veritas Forum, splitting her time between New York City and Cambridge, and is a regular writer for The Gospel Coalition. Childcare will be available.
