BCPC Love Life Race

Do you like to run? Walk? Cheer people on while they run/walk? Well, this is your chance! Boston Center for Pregnancy Choices (BCPC) is a local non-profit offering services to men and women facing unplanned pregnancies, and they are holding their annual Love Life Walk/Run this Saturday, June 9th, at DCR Chestnut Hill Reservoir, Brighton. This is a great way to spend time with you community group, as you can form a team and fundraise together! Races include a 10K, 5K, and Kids 1K Fun Run, and they start at 8:30am, so you could still make it to the all-church picnic after you burn some calories and support a great cause! Register at lovelife5k.org. Contact Hannah Ebben with any questions.

Veritas Forum

As gene editing technologies, such as CRISPR/Cas9, become more advanced and affordable, their ability to have profoundly positive effects on humankind seems apparent. Solutions to the ethical considerations, such as equity of access and societal values related to genetic diversity, are far less apparent and demand thoughtful consideration. Accordingly, the Veritas Forum at MIT is pleased to host Stanford neurobiologist William Hurlbut and MIT genetic biologist Rudolf Jaenisch to dialogue about these issues. The discussion will be moderated by MIT professor of engineering Cullen Buie. The event will be hosted at MIT in room 26-100 on Thursday, April 26th at 7PM. Refreshments will follow. For more information, please contact Susanne van Veluw
