CTK Youth Community Group
The Youth Community Group seeks to promote fellowship and community among grades 6-12 in the church, and help its young members grow toward a maturity in faith in Christ. The YCG meets monthly during the school year with the focus of developing skills for biblical literacy and practical applications of scripture in daily life. For more information, contact T.I. Atkins.
Saturday, November 3, 10:00-11:00am – All Church Gathering: we will be joining with the youth from the other churches for a prayer walk around Central Square during the worship service at CTK Cambridge, and back by 11am for the congregational meeting. Chaperones are still needed; please contact T.I. Atkins at firstname.lastname@example.org or Sarah Goodman at email@example.com to volunteer!
Friday, November 9, 5:30-7:30pm – Youth Community Group: We will be anticipating the holidays with apple pie and cider, playing games and decorating journals. We’ll cover the story of Jesus calming a storm together (Mark 4:35-41) as an example of learning how to read the bible and apply it to our lives. Bring your bible!
Saturday, December 8, 5:30-8:00pm – Church Concert: YCG will meet in the Social Hall for dinner and fellowship prior to attending the Church Concert together
Saturday, December 15, 5:30-7:30pm – Youth Community Group: We will celebrate the Advent season with cookie decorations, festive crafts, and further develop skills for interacting with scripture. We’ll read Mark’s account of the Passover with the disciples (14:12-21) before sharing our insights from the passage together.
