Serving in the city

'As for you... do not grow weary in doing good.' - 2 Thessalonians 3:13

In witness to the immeasurable riches of God's grace towards us in Christ Jesus, Christ the King seeks to reach out in word and deed for the peace and welfare of the city. To this end we partner with a number of service organizations in the greater Boston area.

Some of our ministry partners:

Boston Rescue Mission: Volunteer with meals, mentoring, and worship or Bible studies.

East End House: Volunteer opportunities include assisting with a bi-weekly emergency food pantry, serving as a mentor for middle school youth, helping out in childcare and after school programs, and supporting senior citizen activities.

Birthday Wishes: Volunteer to assisting with bringing birthday parties to children in homeless families housed in local hotels.  For more information on volunteering, contact Stella DeCosta.

Tutoring Plus: Provides free tutoring to Cambridge high school and middle school students, for one hour per week, on a variety of academic subjects. Volunteer training provided. For questions, see Tutoring Plus’ FAQ page or contact the church office.
