Daily Bible Readings

The pastors of Christ the King have selected passages for daily reading that reflect the context and themes for the current sermon series.

Over the course of the year, the sermons at CTK follow a certain pattern: during the fall months, we study the Old Testament and the character of God; in the winter leading into the spring, we explore the Gospels and the person and work of Christ; in the late spring and into the summer, we focus on New Testament writings and the work of the Spirit in His Church.

From January through March of 2018, we'll be concluding our series in the Gospel of Mark.  Last spring, we covered the first eight chapters, asking the question, "Who is Jesus?"  This spring, we will be looking at the second half of Mark, focusing on the purpose of Jesus.

Daily Readings                      january thru March 2018

The bulk of the daily readings during this sermon series will come from the later chapters of Isaiah.  The following video gives some historical and theological background for these texts.
