Congregational Meeting

The members of Christ the King Presbyterian Church are called to a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, preceded by a prayer meeting that will start at 6:30p. This meeting will be held virtually.

Business to be conducted at the meeting:

  1. Elect a pastoral search committee* for the purpose of recommending a pastoral candidate for Cambridge

  2. Elect church officers – the slate of candidates to be elected will be shared upon approval by the Session

  3. Share information with the church

Instructions for how to participate in the virtual meeting will be forthcoming.

Congregational Meeting (10/18)

The members of Christ the King Presbyterian Church are called to two upcoming Congregational Meetings.

The first is on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 7:00 PM and will be held virtually. Business to be conducted at the October meeting:
1. Consider the resignation of Rev. Rick Downs as Pastor of Christ the King Presbyterian Church
2. Approve a process for forming a pastoral search committee*
3. Hear more information and ask questions related to placing an interim pastor in Cambridge and the search for a permanent replacement

The second is on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 7:00 PM and will be held virtually. Business to be conducted at the November meeting:
1. Elect a pastoral search committee* for the purpose of recommending a pastoral candidate for Cambridge
2. Elect church officers – the slate of candidates to be elected will be shared upon approval by the Session

Inman Square Women's Fellowship

A new women's fellowship group will be starting in Inman Square, meeting the evening of the first and third Wednesdays each month, time and location TBD based on participant availability. For more information, contact Annelise Mesler. For other information about women's fellowship groups, or to indicate interest in forming or participating in a new group near your home or work, contact Emily Stuntz.

Women's Fellowship Groups Update

Women’s Fellowship Groups are meeting throughout the city and exist to provide mid-day opportunities of fellowship, discipling and growing in faith with other women. If you want more general information or would like to start a group near you, please contact Cat Sherrill.

  • MGH/Beacon Hill: Meets weekly at 12 noon in the Yawkey Cafeteria, day of the week varies. Contact Rosemary Boyle 
  • Longwood: Starting again in September, day and time TBD. Contact Cat Sherrill
  • Kendall: Starting in September, Fridays at 7:30-8:30 am at Clover Restaurant in Kendall Square and meets weekly. Contact Katherine Ong
  • Davis Square: Starting in September, day and time TBD. Contact Emily DeBaun

Women's Summer Book Study

This summer, women from CTK and their neighbors are invited to join a Short Book Study on Kevin deYoung's, "Taking God at His Word." The book addresses questions many of us ask: "Can we trust the Bible completely? Is it sufficient for our complicated lives?  Can we really know what it teaches?" Please contact Rosemary Boyle or Lauren Easton for details about where we are meeting and how to get the book. The last discussion session will take place on July 22nd (Ch 6-8) at 7:00pm.
