International Outreach at Christ the King seeks to help befriend, welcome, and provide a spiritual home to neighbors and congregants for whom English may not be their first language. Our mission is to:
Be a bridge between native English speakers within our congregation and the broader international community.
Serve the international community of Cambridge with practical and timely help.
Provide spaces of spiritual inquiry for those interested in learning more about Jesus Christ and his church, carefully taking into consideration the variety of religious and linguistic backgrounds present in our neighborhood.
If you would like more information about our International Outreach, please contact our Coordinator, Hannah Nation.
CTK offers English classes for anyone seeking language assistance. We meet weekly during the school year and provide a relaxed and friendly setting for all levels to practice their spoken language skills. Our program is run by volunteer teachers and coursework is not graded.
Time: Monday evenings, 7:00 - 8:30pm
Location: 99 Prospect Street, Cambridge, MA (near the Central Square T stop)
Visit our registration form.
Once a month, we host a community dinner on Monday evenings in lieu of English classes. This provides a time and place for building fellowship and friendship between the congregation of CTK and the local international community. Dinner is potluck style and includes conversation topic.
INTERNATIONAL BIBLE STUDY
Our international Bible study meets weekly throughout the year on Sunday afternoons. This group is a great meeting place for those starting to inquire into the Christian faith and looking for a small, informal setting in which to openly ask questions. We meet in a home near to Harvard Square and always enjoy good conversation.
