For Kids
Each Sunday, Christ the King offers opportunites for the care and spiritual nurture of the children of our church, visitors and guests. We want to:
- Provide an environment for children to come in contact with the gospel and to know more of Jesus.
- Provide safe, responsible care alleviating any concerns parents might have about the well being of their children at church.
- Nurture our children as members of the covenant community and teach them that they are a vital part of the church.
These things happen primarily through nursery, children’s church, and Sunday school. You'll find descriptions of each of these below. Sunday School
CTK offers Sunday school classes for toddlers through high-schoolers at 9:15 am each Sunday morning. The curriculum for each class is age-appropriate.
- Toddler (30 months to 3½ years): Downstairs classrooms 3 & 4
- Preschool (3½ to 4 years old): Downstairs classroom 5
- Kindergarten and 1st Grade: Downstairs classroom 1
- 2nd and 3rd Grade: Downstairs classroom 2
- 4th through 6th Grade: Downstairs classroom 7
- Youth (7th to 12th Grade): Meet at the rear of the sanctuary at 9:15 to walk to the church office
Children should be picked up from their classes by 10:20 am.
Nursery
Nurseries for infants, toddlers and young children are offered during both Adult Education and the worship service.
9:15 – 10:15: during Adult Education
- Infant nursery 0 to 12 months (non-walkers): Upstairs nursery room
- Toddler nursery 13 to 29 months: Downstairs classroom 6
10:30 – Noon: during the Worship Service
- Infant nursery 0 to 12 months (non-walkers): Upstairs nursery room
- Toddler nursery 13 to 29 months: Downstairs classroom 6
- Classroom nursery 30 months to 3½ years: Downstairs classrooms 3 & 4
A nursery sign-in table is located outside of each nursery room. Please check-in with the nursery workers before leaving your children.
Children's Church
Children's Church is age-appropriate worship option for children during the sermon of our Sunday service. It's available for ages 3½ to 7 years old.
Children are dismissed just prior to the sermon and are picked up at the conclusion of the worship service.
- Children ages 3½ to 4 meet downstairs in classroom 1.
- Children ages 5 to 7 meet downstairs in classroom 5.
Children of all ages are welcome to remain in the worship service with their familes.
